About Us
Cló Cill Rialaig is a division of Comhlacht Forbartha Chill Rialaig Teo which supports the unique Cill Rialaig Artist Retreat on remote Bolus Head, South West Ireland itself supported by the Arts Council, Ireland.
This dedicated Print Studio serves the many visiting Irish and International artists who are awarded short 1-4 week residencies at the nearby artist retreat.
Stephen O’Connell, Master Printmaker and his small team of talented volunteer printmakers help artists, famous and emerging, to produce to high professional standards short editions as well as monotypes, carborundums and etchings.
Each edition is shared between artist and Clo Cill Rialaig and co-operative agreements made with one purpose to help maintain the rent free artist retreat and its non-commercial ethos. So all residue from the agreed Print Studio portion sales earned after costs of administration and product development go to maintaining a very special place for artists to create.
Visitors are not encouraged to visit the artist retreat but may visit the CILL RIALAIG ARTS CENTRE (www.cillrialaigartscentre.org) in Dun Geagan, Ballinskelligs Co. Kerry and the Print Studio by appointment only. (tel. +353 (0)66 947 9277)
We comply with the Governance Code for community, voluntary and charitable organisations in Ireland. We confirm that a review of our organisation’s compliance with the principles in the Code was conducted Sept 9, 2014. This review was based on an assessment of our organisational practice against the recommended actions for each principle. The review sets out actions and completion dates for any issues that the assessment identifies need to be addressed.
